How I Care – Building Lives, Empowering People began, and where our journey is headed.
I Care – Building Lives, Empowering People was founded in Jalandhar, Punjab with a simple conviction: every child, regardless of ability, deserves a real place in a real classroom. What started as a small effort to support a handful of families has grown, over more than 15 years, into a dedicated centre that has walked alongside 150+ children and their families on the path to inclusion.
Our founders, Mr. Sandeep Daniel and Mrs. Grace Daniel, saw firsthand how often children with disabilities were left on the margins of mainstream education — not for lack of ability, but for lack of the right support, training, and understanding around them. I Care was built to close that gap.
From our base in Jalandhar Cantt, our team works directly with children, parents, schools, and the wider community — combining therapy, remedial education, parent counselling, and creative arts programmes with hands-on work to prepare mainstream classrooms to welcome every child.
Today, I Care continues to grow — reaching more families, training more teachers, and building a community where inclusion is the norm, not the exception. Our story is still being written, one child, one classroom, and one family at a time.
